    Dear Airport Managers,

    some questions popped up concerning the event mechanics of our Halloween event.
    We would like to share the answers from our game design guys with you:

    • If a plane got tuned, does this influence the calculation of the flight time concerning a lower drop rate?
    The drop rate of event currency is defined by flight time level ranges. The influence of the tuning steps on flight times normally isn’t that high that the plane will slide into a lower flight time range. It can happen that the drop rate gets a little bit lower when the plane slips into the lower range but this is very rare and therefore an exception.​
    • If I use super fuel which reduces flight time of my plane, will the drop rate be reduced as well?
    The use of super fuel doesn’t lower the chance of getting event currency. The drop rate is defined by the original flight time of the plane.​
    • Is there only a general difference between “short flight time” and “long flight time”? Or does the drop rate depend on every possible flight duration?
    We won’t publish the exact flight time level ranges that define the drop rate of each plane. It is part of the game that everybody finds his or her own strategy. Otherwise the game would be very boring and it’s part of the gaming fun to puzzle over strategic riddles. But to make it clear: The drop rate chance is highest with planes of 24 hours flight times. But this doesn’t mean that there’s a 100% chance! Eventual changes remain reserved from event to event and we will change it from time to time to keep our game exciting. There will always be a highest chance to get event currency and it decreases in little, non-linear steps.​
    • Will players with low levels and small fleets be harmed by these event mechanics?
    They won’t because the new system only guarantees that busy bees will get a little bonus on all their work. When comparing the same time frame, it should be the same outcome of event currency if you send a lot of planes with short flight times or only some planes with long flight times. Due to the random generator there can be a subjective impression of wild fluctuations when only sending a few amount of planes. But if you send a high amount of planes, you can observe that there won’t be high variations anymore.​
