  1. It has been 2+ weeks and my game still does not play correctly. Everything is delayed. I click on something and a few seconds later it happens. I have written and no one responds. Is this game ever going to be fixed???

    The browser Chrome ( use to be good for gaming ) is coursing problems with the latest version.

    But also other browsers are not running as it should - so you are not alone on this.

    So maybe try using a different browser - you can have more than one browser running on your computer so no need to delete the one you are using right now.

    I cant say what browser than to use - I am using Firefox right now and it runs slow but good

    If the game is not running as it should - it is good from time to time clear Browser History and Cache ( the info that is being stored on your computer) because it do get filled up and makes the process of the information being used for gaming go slower

    In the following week we will get an update with Large plane and maybe there are also some updates that will make the game run better

  3. Thank you for answering me. Nice to know I am not the only one with this problem. My game is so slow that I only play to scrap a plane and do spin the win. I probably won't have any friends left once it is fixed since for 3 weeks I can't/haven't returned any planes! The game as it plays is very frustrating. I have tried clearing the browswer history and cache unfortunately it did not help. Again, thank you for answering me.

    Air-Base: YES...if RainbowInTheSky understand German 100% - otherwise I wouldn't change the setup on my computer.

    And IF the player understand how to change the setup on her computer and it doesn't have an effect on other things she is using the computer for.

    NB: I knew about the German response to the question before my first answer to her

  6. I did go to Germany and Austria for 3 weeks for holiday December 2014-January 2015, but I do not speak any German. (although I tried) Any other suggestions? It just took me over 1 hour to send out 100 planes! I have 54 alien heads in 1 1/2 weeks of playing the quest. So sad. I used to really like this game. Thank you for replying, this is the only thing I look forward to when I turn on the game.

    :) .. what browsers have you used ?
    as I said I can make it work with Firefox .. and the latest update to my Windows 7 also made it go better ..

    Some Anti Virus programs has a extra addition where you can turn up/ speed up your computer .. that really helps on the general speed of your computer .. it does it with removing all the things that has been added on to your computer and makes it slow down

    Hello RainbowInTheSky! ;)
    Based on what you have told me, if it was my computer, I would do these things:
    • Clear flash cache and all internet history
    • Download and/or try a different browser
    • Check internet security settings to ensure nothing is being blocked
    • If none of those help, delete and re-install the browser of your choice (chrome?)
    • I would also try to play the game on someone else's computer, aswell as creating a new account (just to test out and ensure that it is a computer related issue) on your own computer, and not an account issue.
    It is commonly recommended by a lot of the German players to use an older version of Chrome. I have been told it helps a lot. I was lucky enough to get a bit of help there, but unless you have a LOAD of planes on your radar (thousands), I really can't see much difference between that and Firefox, which I use.
    I hope you're able to get it sorted soon

  9. @RainbowInTheSky: You could try figuring out where your problem is by process of elimination.
    • If everything you do on your computer is slow, then your operating system or your hardware is the likely culprit.
    • If only Internet apps are running slow, your problem has something to do with your network setup, your ISP, or spamware.
    • If everything in only one browser is running slow, uninstall and reinstall, and try again before adding extensions or plugins.
    • If only one website is running slow, then the problem is likely your ISP's connection to that website, or that site is having connection or server issues.
    • If everybody is experiencing the same slow problems, the website or its servers or its network are having problems.
    I've experienced the problems you've described before. I went through this entire elimination process and determined it's got something to do with Bigpoint's connection with my ISP. I'm also more likely to have game performance issues over the weekends than on weekdays. That's when the load on Bigpoint's servers and network is heavier. Infrequently, the game is slow for no reason, regardless of the browser I use.

    I track my bandwidth and network activity with a bandwidth monitor, and can tell when a connection is good or bad. Sometimes, the game takes forever to load, and I get lots of delays. Most of the time, though, it loads in 10-15 seconds, and there are no issues. If I don't clear my cache, it loads in 5 seconds or less.

    Conclusion: In my case, the problem is most likely Bigpoint's connection with my ISP. I suspect this may most likely be your issue too.

    Please note that this doesn't necessarily mean that Bigpoint is at fault. The problem could be at any node between Bigpoint and your ISP.

    Best way to determine network performance is to get a network utility and run ping and traceroute. Otherwise, go Google on how to test your connection with a certain site. You'll find some help there.

    I hope this helps.

    P.S. Check out this thread from the General Archive. Same issues.

  10. I have windows 7 and use google chrome as my browser. After suggestions, I just checked to see if there were any "important updates" to download and install, and there were none. Only optional updates. After a suggestion last night I cleared internet browsing history and cache. Game still played painfully slow. My HP TouchSmart pc is working just fine on everything else I do. The only exception has been Skyrama (the only online game I play) and this started the past 2-3 weeks. I know of another player (level 85) who has windows 7 and google chrome and he is also complaining.

    Boeing-Boeing: You stated "Conclusion: In my case, the problem is most likely Bigpoint's connection with my ISP. I suspect this may most likely be your issue too." If that is my problem any suggestions?

    In conclusion, is anyone at Bigpoint working on fixing this? As I stated before I probably won't have any friends/buddies left once it is fixed since for 3 weeks I can't/haven't returned any planes!

  11. @RainbowInTheSky: Look here for some networking tools to help you, and run ping and traceroute to this URL - bpcdn.net. This will help you determine where the slowdowns are happening. If the slowdowns are happening along the way to bpcdn.net, then the problem is not Bigpoint's.

    I'm now assuming that:
    • Your PC and Windows are clean, spamware-free/virus-free, and working just fine;
    • Your network and Flash settings are in order;
    • You're not burning bandwidth by pulling torrents or streaming videos;
    • Your game takes forever to load; and
    • You're getting the same crappy game performance with every other browser you've installed anyway.
    I'm just approaching your issue with very simple logic: If I'm getting great performance now and you're not, then Skyrama/Bigpoint can't be at fault. Bigpoint designed the Skyrama engine for efficiency, to load only what is necessary, and only when it's requested. When you start the game, the engine is loaded first, then the necessary data to display your airport and the icons of the planes that you have and those in queue. It's only when you click on a specific plane to perform a function that the related sprites are loaded. If your network connection is choked, every request to and from the Bigpoint server (bpcdn.net) will be slow. This is most likely why your game responds only several seconds after you click on whatever for the first time. Once the sprites are loaded and cached, the delay is reduced significantly.

    One easy way to tell if you're having network issues is to time the Cash Cow plane. If you're doing absolutely nothing, the next Cash Cow should appear about 40 seconds (more or less) after returning the previous one. If it doesn't, it means either you have network issues or the Bigpoint server is overloaded. In case you're wondering, the Cash Cow isn't just there to give you free AirCoins. It also captures a snapshot of your airport and forces your game to upload its status to the server. Any disruption of this process can mean lost game data and possibly a game crash.

    Hope this helps.
