Would the owner or owners of the game be willing to sell the game? A new owner might be willing to start making changes and upgrades to the game. If so, then what would be the asking price?

Long time no see, Skyrama Forum and its lovely members/staff :D

Hahahahaha, this post made me laugh so much that I had to reply. Even tho I would like to have some more creative freedom with Skyrama, I'm worried that all the rights to the IPs would be quite expensive. (Mostly the pretty assets) :D

So yeah, I don't see this happening as Skyrama is still most likely paying for itself if the database servers are used for different Bigpoint games as well. Even in the hypothetical scenario that Bigpoint would for some unrealistic reason in the future choose to sell the code + rights then it would be unreasonably expensive for anyone sane as the maintenance costs would just be too high for any individual. As for company, I also don't see any sane company buying Flash based game with old (buggy) PHP backend. I'm quite sure it would also be problematic with the player data.

I think it's more realistic that as we obviously saw recently, the few members behind Skyrama aren't too shy of using AI for making new events, etc., that they would use AI for the code-related issues as well, or potentially finally ditch Flash with the AI and completely replace it with something like PixiJS 8 or similar.
Sadly, but for obvious reasons, the community cannot do it themselves, as that would go against the ToS (Any reproduction, analysis or modification of the Games, Game components or content provided within the scope of the Services is also prohibited.) Skyrama Team, please reach out if it's okay with such an old game without touching the real Skyrama server and without being sued to the ground. XD

I might not be the biggest fan of AI but it truly brings old games alive! And I think that's amazing honestly. :)

    Good night, everyone!
