Official fix clarification

I'd like to ask for some clarification regarding the current login issue where the game stays on a white screen (or at least that's the issue I have). I've seen the suggested solution posted here on the forum of course, renaming or deleting the Bigpoint GmbH folder in %LocalAppData%. While I appreciate that a workaround has been shared, I'm honestly surprised that this is the recommended fix. Is this really the only available solution?

I'm asking because many players don't use the forums since Skyrama moved to it's own launcher because the forum STILL isn't accessible from the game itself and one has to log in in the browser into the game and then go to the forum, which is absolutely uncomfortable, and second, I bet many players don't even know of the forum's existence since this uncomprehensible split. Furthemore, some people might not even have the tech knowledge to do this kind of stuff, even if fairly basic. I am affraid that beside us tryhard Skyrama lovers no one's going to find this solution. And thinking about it, players cleaning up someone's elses mess is even more absurd quite frankly.

I completely understand that technical issues happen, and I appreciate the moderators trying to help. I'm just concerned about how the average player is supposed to discover and apply this workaround. In other words, is this going to irretrievably shrink the Skyrama player count?

 

this is sad to be honest ive got a lot on my friends list that havent been able to log in since the issue and they were very active, im afraid they dont know about the forums at all, there should have been at least an update fix or some sort of patch that fixes the game automatically

 

Hi Newblood I am an average player at level 97 and I can't get back to the game with the info given, I can't find the bigpoint gmbh folder.
what will happen with all these faults we will sooner or later find another game to play. thanks so much for all your posts. Best regards besse
