What this "proxy" means?

    Thx for the timely answer (I was busy with work irl). I am a bit skeptical of things that are there but have "no reason". I am not an PC connoisseur so to speak so I feel really uncomfortable installing things that shows anything other than "Next" and "Folder". I went to Google and proxy seems to be some sort of connection between "X server and Y computer". Why even show this if isn't relevant?

    usually you do not need to configure anything yourself in this application installation process, it will install itself if you just click next.
